Gone are the days when you needed to empty your wallet for a decent smartphone experience. In fact, in 2025, the mid-range segment is constantly thriving with action and brands like Nothing and Realme are stealing the spotlight with options for budget buyers.
In line with this, the newly announced Vivo Y300i 5G is the company’s attempt to bring in the performance sans the premium price tag. Powered by Snapdragon’s 4 Gen 2 SoC and backed by a large battery, the new phone was recently unveiled at a launch event in China. Here’s what you need to know.
Vivo Y300i 5G: Key features to look out for
To begin with, the Vivo Y300i 5G comes with a large 6.68-inch HD+ LCD display and gets up to 120Hz refresh rate for fluid visuals. As mentioned above, it comes fired up with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset along with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage options.

On the photography front, the Vivo Y300i 5G gets a 50MP primary dual-camera setup at the back and a 5MP front camera styled in a notch. According to Vivo, the smartphone comes with an SGS five-star drop and fall resistance certification and has passed a military standard impact test as well.
For connectivity, the smartphone is 5G ready and gets Bluetooth v4.2 as well. Apart from this, the Y300i comes with a USB Type-C port and 44W wired charging support. However, the highlight of the smartphone is certainly its sizable 6,500mAh battery capacity. Lastly, the phone is said to ship with Android 15-based Origin OS 15.
Vivo Y300i 5G: Price and availability details
The Vivo Y300i 5G is globally priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs 18,000) for the 8GB + 256GB model, CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 19,200) for the 12GB + 256GB model. It also comes in a 12GB, 512GB memory variant and costs CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 21,600).
The smartphone is available in three colourways, including black, titanium and blue. It is scheduled to go on sale this week in China; however, the brand has yet to announce its plans to launch it in the Indian markets.
