Vivo Y28 affordable 5G smartphone launched in India

Vivo has launched its latest smartphone in India under the Y-series. The new phone, the Vivo Y28 5G, is an affordable 5G device that succeeds the Vivo Y27 5G. Here’s everything you need to know about the phone.

Vivo Y28 5G: Features and specifications

The Vivo Y28 5G comes with a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch that houses the front camera. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, which supports 5G networks thanks to a built-in modem.

The phone also comes with a 50MP main rear camera along with a 2MP secondary sensor. There is also an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The Vivo Y28 5G comes in three storage variants – 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device also supports expandable memory and comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone port and IP54 water and dust resistance.

Vivo Y28 5G: Pricing and availability

The Vivo Y28 5G is priced starting at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, while the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants cost Rs 15,499 and Rs 16,999 respectively. The phone is available in two colours – Glitter Aqua and Crystal Purple.

If you’re looking for some other options in this range, you can also consider the Realme C67 5G which is an even more affordable 5G phone, or the Oppo A59 5G which offers a slightly different design. You can also spend a little more to get the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G for the perks of OneUI.
