Vivo X200: Top camera features explained

The new Vivo X200 and X200 Pro are the latest flagships on the block and come with one of the best camera setups we have seen on a smartphone this year. However, what exactly is it that makes the Vivo X200 cameras so good?

Let’s take a deep dive into the Vivo X200 and understand all the fancy new features it brings to elevate its camera experience- in terms of both hardware and software.

Vivo X200 camera: What’s new?

The Vivo X200 comes with a combination of sensors, hardware and software features, all of which work in tandem to produce great shots. Here are some more details on these aspects.

Flagship sensors

Good performance in every camera setup is defined by great hardware. The Vivo X200 comes with a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor, which offers stunning details in day or night photography.

This is joined by the 50MP Zeiss Telephoto camera, which lets users zoom far into a frame without losing clarity, be it facial portraits or larger-than-life macro images.

There’s also a third 50MP 119-degree ultra-wide camera that captures more of any frame that you’re at. This includes landscapes, city skylines, etc.

Handy hardware features

In addition to the sensors on the device, the Vivo X200 also comes with several hardware features that enhance the camera experience during shooting, or simply eliminate day-to-day issues.

The Zeiss T coating on all lenses is a good example of this. It reduces flares or reflections in shots, which can often be a problem when dealing with light sources from angles you cannot control.

Multiple portrait focal lengths also let you take very different kinds of portrait shots of people, without moving your position. You can take 23mm, 35mm and 50mm portraits all from the same device, with all modes getting slightly different outputs.

Creative software

Apart from image processing, software can do a lot for a photo after it has been shot. Features like AI Eraser let you get rid of all kinds of unwanted elements, while a dedicated Wedding Style Portrait mode lets you take the best bridal shots this wedding season. A new AI photo enhance feature also adds more details to pictures in real-time, allowing you to zoom in more on smaller areas and reducing blurred areas.

Those are the new camera features of the Vivo X200. Stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for more details on flagship phones, and all things tech.
