Mixed reality (MR) headsets have always been a thing of big brands, mostly the tech giants of Silicon Valley. Apple has one, Meta has a couple of them, and Samsung and Google are working on one, which we have already got a glimpse of.
Now, a Chinese brand is entering the space, and it’s one that makes camera-centric smartphones. We are talking about Vivo. The brand has showcased its first mixed reality headset, dubbed the Vivo Vision. Well, if the name sounds familiar, wait until you see its design.
Everything you need to know about the Vivo Vision
The Vivo Vision is the brand’s very first mixed reality headset that features a ski goggle-style design. It has black glass covering the front, with metallic-looking side arms. The headset appears to have multiple sensors, including camera sensors on the front.
The overall build of the headset looks just like the Apple Vision Pro and Samsung’s upcoming Project Moohan. However, it appears to boast a sleeker footprint compared to the other two. Unfortunately, Vivo hasn’t revealed a lot about the headset.
As for what we know so far, the Vision headset will be similar to any other mixed reality in the market. Besides the glass front, sensors, and premium build, the headset will also come with a battery pack to keep it up and running.

Again, there are no specifics that we know as of now. However, the headset may work similarly to how other mixed reality headsets function.
Apple’s Vision Pro, which comes at a staggering price of $3,499 (about Rs 3 lakh), lets users watch movies and enjoy spatial content. It also has gesture support, which, reportedly, works well.
We expect to see similar features on the Vivo Vision headset when it arrives. However, there’s no release date or availability details of the headset as of yet. But we should know more about that soon. Until then, stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma for the latest tech news.
