Vivo is back with another smartphone in the V series. The Vivo V40e is the company’s latest mid-range smartphone focused on its camera prowess. It brings a fresh design over its predecessor, the Vivo V30e, and comes with a few improvements.
Some of its highlights include a 120Hz curved AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, a 50MP selfie snapper. Let’s see the smartphone’s specifications and features, and also have a look at the pricing and available offers.
Vivo V40e specifications and features
The Vivo V40e has a new design when compared to the Vivo V30e. The device boasts a circular camera island on the rear, placed just above the ring LED flash unit. It has a 3D curved screen sized 6.78 inches, supporting a full-HD+ resolution, and it gets an AMOLED panel with 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
For screen protection, it gets a Schott Xensation glass, and for security, the phone’s screen doubles up as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
One of its highlights is the selfie camera. It flaunts a 50MP eye autofocus front camera placed inside the punch-hole. There’s a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP Sony IMX882 main lens and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. Assisting the cameras is a ring LED flash unit, which Vivo calls the Aura Light.

The rear lens supports 4K videos that Vivo claims to be ultra-stable, thanks to the combination of OIS and EIS. Vivo has also added a couple of camera features such as AI portrait, AI Eraser, and AI Photo Enhancer.
As far as the performance is concerned, the device draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It houses a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The device runs on Android 14 OS out of the box and has FuntouchOS 14 on top.

It has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, but lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. Vivo has also offered stereo speakers for audio. As for connectivity, it has dual-SIM 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and GNSS suite, including GPS. The device also has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Vivo V40e price, offers, and availability
The Vivo V40e is priced at Rs 28,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs Rs 30,999. It has two colour options – Mint Green and Royal Bronze.
The device will be available for purchase from October 2 in the online and offline markets, including Croma. Buyers get up to 10 per cent instant cashback on select bank cards.
Customers who pre-book can get the Vivo 3e TWS earbuds at a discounted price of Rs 1,499. If that’s not all, they can also avail 10 months of extended warranty for free.
Some other options in the similar range include the OnePlus Nord 4 for performance and the Nothing Phone 2a Plus for UI and fluidity.
