A regular TV just doesn’t cut it for some, when it comes to building a home theatre setup. Regardless of its size, or display technology. What comes next then? A projector, of course. And if you’re in the market looking for one, and money is no object, might we recommend you take a look at the new ViewSonic LX700-4K RGB laser projector?
ViewSonic LX700-4K RGB Laser Projector: Features and to look out for
The new ViewSonic LX700-4K RGB laser projector is perfect for those who have a supersized living room. It can project images on a screen size of as much as 300 inches — and at a 4K resolution, no less. The images projected by it are also super bright, owing to the 5200 RGB laser lumen bulb.

The 0.65-inch DMD chip inside offers a high contrast ratio for deep blacks and sharper contrasts, while the vertical image adjustment feature allows you to adjust the image on the ceiling-mounted projector without hassle. The 1.6x optical zoom lens also allows one to select the ideal setup location without having to alter the existing layout in any given room.
And if that’s not all, the ViewSonic LX700-4K RGB laser projector also gets a claimed life of up to 30,000 hours. What’s cool is, along with the 4K resolution, the projector also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes it perfect for hooking up your PS5 or your Xbox with it, to play your favourite games.
Now it gets only a 15W speaker in-built, but there is a 3.5mm jack on offer, as well as an HDMI eARC port. These allow you to connect an external home theatre system or soundbar to it, for an immersive audio experience. And to minimise cable clutter, the projector is also compatible with Chromecast, Apple TV as well as Fire TV.
ViewSonic LX700-4K RGB Laser Projector: Pricing and availability
With a plethora of features coupled with the sort of image quality on offer, the ViewSonic LX700-4K doesn’t come very cheap. The laser projector is priced at as much as Rs 4,95,000. It can be purchased from the company’s website, as well as all other partner retail outlets across the country.
If you’re looking for more pocket friendly options however, consider taking a look at options such as the ViewSonic M2 Full HD LED projector or the XGIMI Halo 1080p smart projector. While they don’t have a 4K resolution, the former does come with other smart features such as Bluetooth connectivity, and the latter, a Harmann/Kardon speaker setup.
