iPhone users get AI powers

You can now use Google’s Gemini AI on your iPhone

It wasn’t long before Google announced a dedicated Gemini AI app for Android users. However, while the app continues to roll out for select regions across the world, the company has also quietly made it available for iOS users via the Google app. It is essential to keep in mind that if you’re an iPhone user, you might not be able to use a dedicated Gemini AI app.

How to use Gemini AI on your iPhone

Before you attempt to do so, ensure you are logged into your Google account and have updated the Google app to its latest version. Once the app opens, you will notice a blue star on the search bar next to the logo.

Before you get started, you will have to agree to the terms and conditions, which will inform you that Google collects all the search data to improve the AI model.

Now that you’re all set, all you need to do is chat with Gemini AI using verbal or written commands. On receiving the responses, you can press the speaker icon to read the generated answers out loud.

This can be used to generate texts, videos, images and even code. Apart from that, you can additionally use Gemini AI to write personalised notes, emails and other forms of communication with ease.

While Apple doesn’t give you the option of replacing its default virtual assistant, Siri, with Gemini AI, you still have the option of deploying it with the Action Button on your iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.

If that’s not all, with Apple reportedly testing AI features for its devices, having a dedicated assistant at our beck and call may not be something too far off in the future.
