Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which brings multiple performance boosts and significantly better thermal performance. It’s safe to say that flagship smartphones that use the chip will be by far the most powerful Android phones ever launched.
But what phones are these? Well, a number of brands have now made official announcements around their next Snapdragon 8 Elite devices, with some also including a rough launch timeline. Let’s take a look at some of these devices.
Xiaomi 15
Xiaomi’s number series have offered flagship-grade specifications at comparatively affordable pricing for years now, and the Xiaomi 15 is expected to be the latest in the series and succeed the Xiaomi 14. The Xiaomi 15 series may even be the first in the list to launch, as the brand is expected to launch the China variant of the phone later this week.
Samsung Galaxy S25
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to succeed the Samsung Galaxy S24 from last year. As has been the case with Samsung’s flagship S series for years, the S25 is also expected to pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and aspects like what new perks this will bring to One UI’s ecosystem features or the Galaxy AI suite remains to be seen.
OnePlus 13
The internet has seen OnePlus 13 rumours floating for months now, covering everything from an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner to a newly designed camera island. However, one thing we know is that the OnePlus 12 successor will come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite along with up to 24GB RAM, so expect a performance-oriented device.
Realme GT 7 Pro
The fact that the new Realme GT phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite shouldn’t exactly come off as a surprise. The GT series, especially the Realme GT 6 has made several performance-oriented devices and this year, the GT 7 Pro is expected to offer the flagship multi-tasking and gaming experience for those on a budget.
The phone is also coming out early November 2024 in India, so those who want to get their hands on the Snapdragon 8 Elite quick may want to check it out.
Other devices
These aren’t the only devices expected to come with the new Snapdragon chipset. There are also other phones like the iQOO 13, the Asus ROG Phone 9 and the Honor Magic 7, but more details on these devices, when they will launch, and whether they will be available in India are not available right now.
