Ugreen’s new 500W charger can power all your gadgets at once

A 500W behemoth for your desk that makes all other charging adapters redundant

Ugreen’s new 500W charger can power all your gadgets at once

Ugreen’s Nexode line of charging adapters has released some cool adapters in the past, including the iconic Robot GaN charger which in our opinion is still one of the better-looking desk accessories for tech. Now, the brand has a new desktop GaN charger that leaves the aesthetics aside, but doubles down on the performance, quite literally.

Meet the new Ugreen Nexode 500W GaN charger, a monster charging adapter with a bunch of ports, that can charge about five laptops at once, or even power something like an e-bike. Here’s all you need to know.

Ugreen Nexode 500W GaN charger: What’s new?

The Ugreen Nexode 500W GaN charger is a Gallium Nitride charger, which means it offers more charging in a relatively compact form factor. It’s still bigger than your regular charging adapter, but considering the power output available here, the size would be considered compact.

The Nexode 500W is great for those who carry around a lot of tech and can power multiple devices that can take 60W-100W inputs simultaneously.

This could mean five accessories, five fast-charging smartphones, or even five MacBook Air laptops. It could also be a combination of the above devices – you’re only limited by the number of ports on the Nexode.

And that isn’t a small number either. The Ugreen Nexode 500W adapter comes with 5 USB Type-C ports, and a Type-A port too. While the entire charger supports USB PD 3.1 and Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0 standard, the port on top supports 240W delivery.

All the other ports share 260W power, no matter which ones are in use in what order, but keep in mind that none of them can exceed an output of 100W each. Still in its announcement stage, the Ugreen Nexode doesn’t have a price tag just yet, but even when it gets one later this year, getting one for yourself in India might still be a difficult task.
