Given the quality of their display panels and the elegant design of their TVs, Sony TVs are an easy recommendation for TV buyers in 2024. While the flagships do grab our attention, the rest of the lineup is just as interesting, often pairing class-leading image quality with an assortment of apps and services that are hard to compete with. If you’re in the market for a new TV this year, here are the ones from Sony’s stables that we’d gladly recommend.
Top Sony TVs of 2024
1. Sony Bravia 2 K-55S25
2. Sony Bravia 2 K-65S25
3. Sony Bravia 2 K-50S20B
1. Sony Bravia 2 K-55S25
The 55-inch screen size has become something of a standard screen size for most homes. There’s a lot of competition in this category, and the Sony Bravia 2 K-55S25 is very competitive. It retails on Croma at Rs 69,240 and offers all the features you’d expect from a premium Sony TV in this price range. This includes 4K output, digital audio out, two USB ports, three HDMI ports, and HDR support thanks to HDR10 and HLG certification.

For audio, you get two 10W speakers and support for Dolby Audio processing. Lastly, the smart TV platform is based on Google TV and is thus very comfortable to use. Sony’s signature X1 4K processor does a good job of upscaling older content and delivering a sharp and colourful image.
2. Sony Bravia 2 K-65S25
If you’re looking for something much larger, we’d recommend the Sony Bravia 2 L-65S25. It boasts of the same fantastic features as its 55-inch counterpart, but offers a larger 65-inch display. The display resolution and refresh rate is the same at 3840×2160 at 50Hz, which means that this is a great TV for consuming content, but perhaps not ideal for gaming owing to the refresh rate. That said, if you’re largely playing single-player games off a PS5 or similar console, the lower refresh rate will not matter. The 65S25 is available for Rs 91,190.
3. Sony Bravia 2 K-50S20B
Lastly, if you need something smaller, go for the Sony Bravia 2 K-50S20B. As with the previous Sony TVs, the feature-set remains the same. The screen size drops to 50 inches and the price to Rs 55,900, but the rest is largely the same.

This TV has the same assortment of inputs, support for 4K @ 50Hz video output, HDR10 and HLG support, and of course the 4K Processor X1 and the 4K X-Reality PRO engines for higher image quality and upscaling.
There are a few other variants of the K-50S20B available, these being the K-50S25 and K-50S20. Both models are very similar. The S25 variant comes with a newer Motionflow XR200 processor for smoothing out motion, while the S20 variant comes with a slightly better image processor as well as the XR200. These are both more expensive than the S20B, and we’d only recommend going for these if you like using motion smoothing when watching content.
Sony TVs are a wonderful addition to any home. Their display quality and processing engines are second to none, and the prices, while on the higher side, are in line with other premium brands in the category. We hope this guide was useful and helped you zero in on the TV you wanted.
