The Vivo V29 series is perfect for those looking for a premium feel on a budget

Flagship smartphones, the likes of the iPhone 15 series and the Galaxy Fold5 have been garnering a lot of attention this year. That’s hardly a surprise, given how these new phones are packed to the brim with features and premium aesthetics. However, flagship phones often come with steep prices.

For those looking for the premium specifications and features without burning a hole in the wallet, Vivo’s new propositions – the Vivo V29 and V29 Pro, can be quite interesting.

Vivo V29 and V29 Pro launched in India

Vivo has just launched the V29 and V29 Pro smartphones in India. Here’s all you need to know about the company’s latest mid-range offerings.

Vivo V29: Key specifications

The Vivo V29 is powered by a Snapdragon 778G processor and can be bought with either 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage, or with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

On the optics front, the device features a 50MP primary shooter with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), and an 8MP ultrawide camera on the rear. On the front, is a 50MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Vivo V29 Pro: Key specifications

Coming to the Vivo V29 Pro, the device packs a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset under the hood and is available with either 8GB or 12GB RAM, and 256GB of storage. The Vivo V29 Pro also has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, as well as a 2x pro portrait lens. Along with this, is a 50MP camera on the front, same as the vanilla Vivo V29.

Both the Vivo V29 and its more premium sibling feature a 6.78-inch 3D curved display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. They also share the same 4,600mAh battery, with support for 80W fast charging.

Vivo V29 series pricing and availability

The Vivo V29 is available in himalyan blue, space black and majestic red colours, and is priced at Rs 32,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 36,999.

The Vivo V29 Pro on the other hand is available in two colours – himalayan blue and space black. It is priced at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and Rs 42,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.

The Vivo V29 Pro goes on sale on October 10, while the base Vivo V29 will go on sale on October 17. Both devices can be purchased from leading retailers across the country.
