Spotify is back with what it does best (besides recommending great tracks and playlists, of course) – creating fancy-looking cards that give you a recap of your listening habits throughout the year. This feature is called Spotify Wrapped, and this year, it brings something unique – AI-powered podcasts.

What’s special with Spotify Wrapped 2024?

What started as ‘Year in Music’ back in 2015, became Spotify Wrapped in 2016, and since then, music enthusiast can’t wait for their Wrapped to release. This year Spotify was a little late than its annual timeline, however, it does compensate with something special.

For Spotify Wrapped 2024, the company partnered with Google’s AI note-taking tool NotebookLM, bringing you a personalised AI-powered podcast. Users get an AI-generated podcast where two hosts discuss a user’s audio listening habits throughout the year. This includes top artists, songs, and more.

While that sounds cool, the feature is, unfortunately, only available in select regions, namely, the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, and Sweden. Both free and premium users of the app can get their personalised AI-powered podcasts.

Besides a personalised podcast, Spotify Wrapped 2024 also includes the list of your top artists and songs separately, showing you the music evolution. You can also see how many minutes of music did you listen and your biggest listening day this year. Unfortunately, this year users don’t get to see their top albums and genres.

Another major disappointment with this year’s Wrapped is that it does not include the ‘Sound Town’ element, which tells which city is aligned with your music taste.
