When it comes to home entertainment, many prefer hooking up a soundbar and a subwoofer to their TV, for they can provide a user with an immersive audio experience while also having a sleek and relatively inconspicuous form factor.
However, if you’re one of those who prefers the full shebang with proper satellite speakers and a subwoofer for a true surround sound experience, you can check out Sony’s new SA-D40M2 home theatre speaker system.
But before you do that, let’s take a deeper look at all the new specifications and features you get with the new launch.
Sony SA-D40M2: Features and key specifications
The Sony SA-D40M2 home theatre system gets a 4.1 channel configuration, with four satellite speakers and a subwoofer. While the subwoofer allows for rich bass, the satellite speaker provides directional sound.

Combined, this ensures a crystal-clear and immersive sound experience, whether while watching your favourite films, a live cricket match, or even during a marathon Call of Duty session. The home theatre system, rated at 100W, has the ability to pair and connect with as many as eight smartphones, laptops, tablets, and other devices, and can switch between them quickly and easily.
The Sony SA-D40M2 also supports USB connectivity, which allows one to play audio directly from a USB drive. And the connectivity options don’t end there either. Also on offer is a stereo mini jack, which allows you to connect older smartphones and laptops to the speaker system. This also ensures high-fidelity sound.
The home theatre system also comes with a remote control bundled in the box, to allow for easier usage and greater control over the home theatre system.
Sony SA-D40M2: Pricing and availability
The Sony SA-D40M2 is priced at Rs 13,990 and is available to purchase from Sony’s website as well as its stores, in addition to all major e-commerce portals and partner retail outlets across the country.
