Sony Float Run is the company’s newest neckband for athletes

The utility of neckbands is undeniable. They offer the comfort and convenience of TWS earbuds with the lack of the hassle of tangled wires, sans the fear of them falling out and you lose them. Bearing the same in mind, Sony has just launched a new off-ear sports neckband in India – the Sony Float Run, which is aimed at athletes. Here’s all you need to know.

Sony Float Run features and key specifications

The Sony Float Run neckband features an off-ear design. This ensures the lack of pressure in your ears when listening to music, as well as any sweating or chafing. What’s cool is, that the design is such that the 16mm drivers sit near a listener’s ear without actually touching the ear canal, which means you get an immersive listening experience while still being aware of your surroundings.

The Float Run has buttons to pause and resume playback as well as control the volume levels. In addition to this, it comes with an IPX4 water resistance rating, meaning it can handle the occasional splashes and sweat with ease. The fact that it weighs a mere 33 grams also means that it extremely comfortable to wear while working out.

Other smart features on the Sony Float Run include support for Google Assistant and Siri, as well as an in-built microphone for attending to calls.

Sony Float Run pricing and availability

Sony’s latest Bluetooth neckband earphone, the Float Run, is available in a single black colour, and is priced at Rs 10,999. It can be purchased from Sony stores and the company’s website, as well from all major e-commerce portals and partner retail outlets across India.
