Silent Hill 2 Remake isn’t coming to your PC anytime soon

Bad news for PC gamers waiting for the Silent Hill 2 Remake

Silent Hill 2 Remake isn’t coming to your PC anytime soon

Konami has been working on the Remake of the 2002 Silent Hill 2 for some time now, and its coming soon. Silent Hill 2 Remake will arrive next month, but if you are a PC gamer, you can’t play the game just yet. Here’s why.

Silent Hill 2 Remake will be PS5 exclusive for a year

The upcoming survival horror title, Silent Hill 2 Remake, is going to be exclusive to the Sony PlayStation 5 console when it arrives. A recent trailer of the game confirmed its PS5 exclusivity. This means the game will come to the Sony PlayStation 5 Slim as well as the new PS5 Pro.

Now, that’s bad news, but don’t fret, as the game’s PC port will be live a year after its console release. So, PC gamers will be able to play the game, but not next month.

For the unversed, the game is set to release for the PlayStation 5 console on October 8, 2024. So, the PC release should be October 8, 2025, as confirmed by Sony.

In case you are not familiar, this is not the first time a Sony title is being delayed for the PC release. We have seen that trend with the God of War Ragnarok, among other games. The upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is also expected to arrive on PC sometime after its console release, just like the release timeline of the GTA 5.
