Whether you are new to iOS or you have just forgotten how to take a screenshot for some reason, we can help you with it. This can be your guide to taking screenshots, so without any further ado, let’s jump in.

How to take a screenshot on an iPhone with Face ID?

To take a screenshot on any iPhone model with a Face ID, you simply need to press a combination of two buttons. Simultaneously press and release the side button + volume up button. You will hear a camera shutter release sound, which means you’ve successfully taken a screenshot.

How to take a long screenshot on an iPhone?

Now, you may need to take a scrolling screenshot or a long page screenshot. For this, you first need to take a regular screenshot using the above steps. Once successful, a screenshot preview will appear in the bottom left corner of your phone’s screen. This appears for only a few seconds, so quickly tap on it before it disappears. Here, you will see an option for ‘Full Page’. Underneath the full page option, you will see a preview of the entire scrolling screenshot.

How to take a screenshot on an iPhone with Touch ID?

The logic remains the same. But instead of the volume up button, you need to quickly press and release the combination of the side button + home button. Again, you’ll hear a camera shutter release sound, which means you’re done. You can follow the above steps to take a scrolling screenshot.

How to take a screenshot on an iPhone without using any buttons?

There might be a scenario where either of the two physical buttons might not be working and you still need to take a screenshot. The good news is that you can take a screenshot without pressing any physical buttons. For this, you need to use AssistiveTouch.

Head over to Settings > Accessibility > Touch. Now, turn on AssistiveTouch. It will add a small circle on the right side of your screen. Tapping on this circle will reveal some quick-access functions. You won’t initially find a screenshot option among the available options.

Tap on Customise Top level menu underneath the AssistiveTouch switch. Tap on + next to the “6 icons”. Now, tap on the “+” option at the top right. From the list of functions and features, select the screenshot option, and you are done. Whenever you need to take a screenshot, simply tap on the circle and then tap on the screenshot option from the quick-access menu.
