Samsung’s latest refrigerators can recognise your voice, create personalised recipes for you

Samsung just dropped their latest lineup of smart fridges globally which could potentially turn the humble refrigerator into a full-fledged command centre of tomorrow’s kitchens. Think screens, AI, and your fridge actually knowing what food you’ve got stashed inside!

The move comes as a part of Samsung’s “Screens Everywhere” vision with 9-inch AI Home screens now available across their 4-door, 4-door French Door, and Side-by-Side fridges.

If that’s not all, select models even come with massive 21.5-inch or 32-inch Family Hub displays for a more entertainment-focused approach. Wondering if this refrigerator is for you? Check out all the details you need to know below:

Samsung Smart Refrigerators 2025: What's there to know?

For starters, Samsung’s latest AI-powered smart refrigerator comes with an upgraded AI Vision Inside feature, which is the real game-changer. This feature allows your fridge to recognise 37 different food items. But the coolest part? It can now identify processed foods too, not just fresh grub. The system will even remember up to 50 items you frequently store, suggesting recipes based on what’s actually in your fridge.

So, imagine never having to stare blankly into the fridge wondering what to cook – your refrigerator will, quite literally, tell you what to make based on what’s inside and available!

Apart from this, the company mentions how these refrigerators are essentially smart home hubs that can:

– Control other Samsung appliances, including third-party smart devices such as lights

– Track your energy usage with SmartThings Energy

– Respond to voice commands through its Bixby virtual assistant

– Recognise different family members’ voices and provide personalised responses

– Display family photos, calendars, and daily schedules

– Stream your favourite music from Spotify

– Mirror content from your smartphone or Samsung TV

Samsung Smart Refrigerator 2025: What is AI Hybrid Cooling?

Samsung, in its announcement, also mentions how some models feature a new AI Hybrid Cooling technology that combines a traditional compressor with a Peltier module. This means that your fridge senses or predicts a temperature rise. So. if you just loaded it with groceries or keep opening the door on a hot day, it kicks in extra cooling power.

Other practical features include auto-opening doors (tap gently), expanded door storage space (thanks to slimmer insulation), and a built-in water dispenser with a dishwasher-safe, BPA-free pitcher that you can infuse with fruits and herbs.

Samsung Smart Refrigerator 2025: Price and availability

It remains to be seen as to when the new refrigerators plan to hit the markets. For now, the brand has only introduced the lineup to the US and European regions. While it might just make its way to India sometime in the near future, it’s best to wait for an official statement from Samsung for more information.
