Air conditioners are great when you want to cool your space on a sunny day quickly. But there’s no denying that the cold draft from an AC also tends to get uncomfortable every now and then. To tackle this, Samsung has launched a range of air conditioners that come with a unique ‘WindFree’ technology to maintain optimum temperatures across your space. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Samsung WindFree ACs.
Samsung WindFree ACs: How do they work?
According to Samsung, the new WindFree range utilises wind-free and 360-degree bladeless technology within chilled water-based cassette units. Samsung mentions how this helps deliver ‘superior’ cooling along with preventing the discomfort caused by a direct cold draft. Apart from this, the units, with their chilled water-based technology, also allow the user to cool their room to the desired temperature. The WindFree technology disperses cool air gently across its 15,000 micro-air holes.

Samsung also goes on to add that the air conditioners achieve this at a wind speed of 0.15 m/sec. If that’s not all, the advanced airflow system helps cool a space quickly, and in silence. The brand mentions how the ACs generate only 24 dB(A) of sound at its lowest level, similar to that of a whisper, which makes them suitable for spaces such as bedrooms, studies, as well as baby rooms.
Samsung WindFree ACs: Price and availability
The Samsung WindFree air conditioners are available in three variants, including a 1-Way Cassette, 4-Way Cassette and a 360-degree chilled water cassette. The 1-Way Cassette unit comes with a slim design and an auto-swing feature for wide-area cooling. The 4 Way Cassette, on the other hand, has been equipped with large blades for precise, or directional cooling. Lastly, the 360-degree unit comes in a new circular design which ensures uniform cooling in every direction.
Samsung’s WindFree series is priced at Rs 35,000 and is available for purchase across authorised retail partners and the brand’s official website. Other options that you can consider within this price range include Lloyd 5-in-1 convertible 1.5 ton 4 Star inverter split AC or the Croma 5-in-1 convertible 1 ton 3 Star inverter split smart AC.
