Samsung has launched a new range of gaming monitors in India, and they are for serious gamers out there. The latest range is from the Odyssey series, which includes three new models – the Odyssey 3D 4K, the Odyssey OLED G8 4K, and the Odyssey G9 DQHD.
Three of these monitors feature high refresh rate support and crisp screens. They also support NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Here’s everything you need to know.
Key features of the Samsung Odyssey 3D 4K
The Samsung Odyssey 3D 4K is a 27-inch gaming monitor with a flat IPS screen, featuring a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The screen has a 165Hz refresh rate support with 1ms gray-to-gray response time.
The monitor has support for HDR10 and HDR10+, and features 350 nits of brightness. Further, it supports 99 per cent sRGB colour gamut and 1 billion colours. The monitor also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, and comes with an AI-powered 3D conversion feature that adds depth to 2D videos.

The monitor offers a glass-free 3D experience using eye-tracking, and it also has built-in dual 5W speakers. For connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-B upstream port, and two USB 3.1 ports.
Key features of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 4K
As the name suggests, the Odyssey OLED G8 4K has an OLED screen with 240Hz refresh rate for a smooth gaming experience. It comes in two sizes – a 27-inch and a 32-inch. Both have a flat screen with features like HDR10+, 0.3ms Gray-to-Gray response time, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.
The 27-inch monitor has 250 nits of brightness, whereas the 32-inch monitor has 260 nits of brightness. Further, both monitors have a 99 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and support for 1 billion colours. There’s AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC support as well.
The monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-B, and two USB-A ports. It also has a headphone jack, which the Odyssey 3D 4K lacks.
Key features of the Samsung Odyssey G9 DQHD
Samsung also launched a 49-inch widescreen monitor with curved sides. It has a curved VA panel with dual QHD resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels. It has a 144Hz refresh rate and 32:9 aspect ratio. Other features include 1ms gray-to-gray response time, 350 nits of brightness, and HDR10+ support. It is also certified by VESA DisplayHDR 600 and features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC support.

The screen has a 92 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and has support for 1.07 billion colours. As for connectivity, it has two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-B upstream, and two USB-A ports. It also has a headphone jack.
Price of the new Samsung Odyssey range
The Samsung Odyssey 3D 4K is priced at Rs 1,27,299. The Odyssey OLED G8 starts at Rs 91,299 for the 27-inh model and Rs 1,18,999 for the 32-inch model. The Odysset G9 DQHD is priced at Rs 94,099.
