Samsung Galaxy S24 gets a price cut; how to grab it at its lowest price

Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 earlier this month, and it has resulted in the price cut of its predecessor the Galaxy S24. While the Samsung Galaxy S25 is a new compact flagship from the brand, the Samsung Galaxy S24 for its new price looks like a lucrative option for many.

So, if you have been holding off on buying a new Galaxy S-series flagship due to its high price, this could be the right time to invest in one. Let’s see the new price of the Galaxy S24, and see whether it’s a good option to consider in 2025.

Here’s the new price of the Galaxy S24

Samsung has slashed the price of the base Galaxy S24 by up to Rs 10,000. While the device was launched starting at Rs 74,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, it can now be purchased for Rs 64,999.

Similarly, the 8GB + 256GB and the 8GB + 512GB variants have also received a price cut. These variants now cost Rs 70,999 and Rs 82,999, compared to their launch prices of 79,999 and Rs 89,999, respectively.

Additionally, you can get a flat Rs 10,000 instant discount on HDFC bank credit and credit card EMI transactions, taking the final starting price down to Rs 54,999.

Should you buy it in 2025?

While the Galaxy S24 is available at a lucrative price, the question remains – should you buy Samsung’s 2024 flagship in 2025? Here’s what we think.

If you decide upon buying the Galaxy S24 for the offer price, you are saving up to Rs 26,000 (i.e., if you buy the base variant). Even if you go with the 256GB variant of the S24, it’s a good deal with all the offers, including the bank discount.

However, it’s worth noting that the Galaxy S24’s 128GB variant has a UFS 3.1 storage, which is still fast but not as fast as the UFS 4.0 storage type of the 256GB variant. However, you may not notice the slightly faster transfer speeds if you are a regular user.

Besides that, the Galaxy S24 still has a powerful chipset inside – the Exynos 2400. Other than this, the device has a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main sensor, and a 4,000mAh battery with a 25W fast charging support. These specifications are similar to that of the new Galaxy S25.

Like the Galaxy S25, the S24 will also receive seven years of OS and security updates. So, you should be good even if you plan to use the device for a longer time. Notably, the S24 runs Android 14 out of the box, however, it has already received the Android 15-based One UI 6 update.

Given all that, the Galaxy S24 for its offer price makes for a good smartphone for those willing to save some cash, but still want to get their hands on a Galaxy flagship. Those who can spend more can obviously invest in the newer Galaxy S25, but before you do that, make sure to read our detailed comparison between the two phones.
