Samsung Galaxy M16 5G, M06 5G launched with Dimensity 6300, up to 6 years of OS updates

Samsung has launched two new budget smartphones in India. The all-new Samsung Galaxy M16 5G is a feature-packed offering with a large display, triple cameras, and six years of OS updates. The Galaxy M06 5G, on the other hand, features an HD+ display and a large battery. Let’s see the key features and prices of both models.

Samsung Galaxy M16 5G, Galaxy M06 5G key features

Both the Galaxy M16 5G and the Galaxy M06 5G boast similar specifications, but there are a few differences. The Galaxy M16 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support.

The Galaxy M06 5G, on the other hand, has a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+. As for the cameras, there’s a dual-rear camera system on the M06 5G, with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

The Galaxy M16 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup having a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro unit. Performance-wise, both phones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. The Galaxy M16 5G has up to 8GB of RAM, whereas the Galaxy M06 5G has up to 6GB of RAM.

Both phones have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging support. The Galaxy M16 5G boots on Android 14 out of the box with One UI 6.0 on top. It gets six years of OS and security updates. The Galaxy M06 5G runs Android 15-based One UI 7 and gets four years of OS and security updates.

As for connectivity, both phones have 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.3. Both have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.

Samsung Galaxy M16 5G, M06 5G price

The Samsung Galaxy M16 5G starts at Rs 11,499 for the base 4GB + 128GB variant. The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 12,999. The 8GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 14,499. These prices are inclusive of a Rs 1,000 bank discount.

The Galaxy M06 5G, on the other hand, costs Rs 9,499 for the 4GB + 128GB variant. Both phones will be available for purchase from next month in online and offline markets across India.
