Samsung has had a busy first half of the year with taking the wraps off its flagship Galaxy S24 series. However, the brand also went on to unveil its budget-range Samsung Galaxy F15 5G early in March and has recently announced another entrant to the series. Namely, the Galaxy F55 5G. The device is the most premium addition to the F-series of smartphones so far.
Samsung’s latest smartphone comes packing a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor under the hood, and gets a Super AMOLED+ 120Hz display. This time around however, it also flaunts a unique, vegan leather back panel. Here’s what you need to know.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G: What's new with the design?
The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G gets a refreshed and rather sleek look, with a vegan leather back panel. The vegan leather finish has a unique saddle stitch and is available in two shades: Apricot Crush and Raisin Black. The smartphone is designed to flaunt a premium look on a budget. Whay’s more, it weighs only 180 grams, allowing for easy portability as well. However, the change appears to be seen in a few other variants as well, with Samsung incorporating a leather back panel for its Samsung Galaxy C55 5G smartphone that was launched to a larger audience in April this year.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G: Other features to look out for
The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G comes with a 6.7-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and Vision Booster technology. According to the company, Vision Booster technology is equipped to make streaming content under bright daylight a comfortable experience.
On offer, along with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor for seamless multi-tasking is also 5G connectivity. On the photography front, the Galaxy F55 gets a 50MP (OIS) No Shake primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor at the rear. This time around, users will also be able to make the most of the Nightography feature, which is ideal for clicking low-light photos and videos.

On the front, the Galaxy F55 sports a 50MP high-resolution camera that Samsung says, allows for more detailed, sharper selfies than ever before.
Lastly, the smartphone gets a 5000mAh battery, as is the case with many of Samsung’s other offerings, with support for 45W super-fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy F55 5G: Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is priced at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, whereas the 12GB RAM variant with 256GB storage is priced at Rs 32,999.
The device will gradually be made available across all major e-commerce portals and offline retail stores. Other options one can consider within this price range include Nothing Phone (2a) and the vivo V30e 5G.
