Samsung Galaxy A26 5G with Galaxy AI debuts in India

Samsung has launched its latest mid-ranger – the Galaxy A26 5G in India. The Samsung Galaxy A26 5G launched globally earlier this month. It joins the Galaxy A36 and A56 in the company’s popular A-series lineup. The phone packs Samsung’s Exynos 1380 SoC, the latest One UI 7, and a host of Galaxy AI features.

Priced starting at Rs 24,999, it competes against phones like the OnePlus Nord CE4 and the newly-launched Nothing Phone (3a). Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung’s latest mid-range smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A26 5G: Price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy A26 5G is priced at Rs 24,999 for the entry-level 8GB + 128GB model. The top-end 8GB + 256GB variant will set you back by Rs 27,999.

The phone has launched in four colourways – Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Peach, and Awesome Mint. Users can also avail a Rs 2,000 bank discount by using SBI or HDFC credit cards for the purchase.

The phone will be available for purchase on Samsung India’s website as well as other online e-commerce platforms. It will likely be sold at retail stores across the country as well.

Samsung Galaxy A26 5G: Specifications and features

The star feature of the newly-launched Samsung Galaxy A26 5G is Galaxy AI. Users can access features like Enhanced Object Eraser and Circle to Search without breaking the bank.

The phone is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 SoC. This is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage with support for memory expansion via microSD card up to 1TB. You get the latest One UI 7 based on Android 15 out of the box, with a promised six years of OS and security updates.

The Samsung Galaxy A26 houses a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. For optics, the Galaxy A26 features a 50MP primary camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro camera. You also get a 13MP front camera for selfies.

A 5,000mAh cell keeps the lights on with support for 25W fast charging (although 25W isn’t really ‘fast’ anymore by 2025 standards). Other features include 4K video recording, IP67 dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, and Bluetooth v5.3.
