Yes, smartphones have gotten much better with battery over the years. Not only have battery capacities become bigger, but our phones themselves have become better and using battery too. However, even the best all-day smartphones today can occasionally run out of juice when you’re on the move.
That’s why power banks have remained such a popular accessory, and Samsung has just launched two new ones of its own. These are the Samsung 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh power banks. Here’s all you need to know about them.
Samsung 10,000mAh, 20,000mAh power banks: What’s new?
The new Samsung power banks come in a single beige colour and a rectangular shape with curved sides and edges. While the 20,000mAh power bank has more capacity, and hence, more bulk, the compact 10,000mAh is more compact and should fit into most pockets.

The Samsung 10,000mAh power bank also comes with 25W charging speeds and two USB-C ports, while the larger 20,000mAh power bank comes with 45W charging speeds and three USB-C ports.
If you have a Samsung smartphone, what this means is the new power banks can charge them at full speed, just like they would charge from the wall adapter. Most Samsung phones charge at 25W, and the smaller power bank should suffice for these phones.
However, if you have the high-end devices like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which support 45W charging, you can also consider the 20,000mAh power bank which can meet that speed. Lastly, both power banks are also Qi-certified, which offers a standard output of 7.5W with Qi-compatible devices.
The Samsung 10,000mAh power bank is priced at Rs 3,499 while the 20,000mAh power bank is priced at Rs 4,299.
Both will be available with leading retailers, but if you don’t fancy these beige-coloured battery packs, you can also consider something like the Mi Boost Pro which offers a 30,000mAh battery or the Spigen 10,000mAh 20W power bank which doubles up as a stand on your desk.
