Samsung’s latest refrigerators are stylish and come with AI power

It is no mystery that the era of artificial intelligence is here. After making its way to users through their smartphones, laptops, and even TVs, AI is now making its way through our home appliances as well. Samsung’s latest range of refrigerators come with built-in AI-powered inverter compressors. Here’s what it means for you and your kitchen.

Samsung AI refrigerators launched

Samsung’s new AI inverter compressor refrigerators in India include the 809-litre Flex French door Bespoke family hub refrigerator in the Clean Charcoal colour with a stainless steel finish, and the 650-litre four-door convertible French door refrigerators in Clean White with a glass finish, and Black Caviar with a steel finish.

What AI in Samsung's latest refrigerators means for you

The AI energy mode on the three refrigerators, Samsung claims, allows them to save up to 10 per cent more energy as compared to conventional refrigerators. Moreover, unlike the latter, AI-powered inverter compressors are much quicker to respond to temperature fluctuations and generate cool air accordingly.

Motor velocity is varied, based on factors such as external temperature, operation mode and more, thereby minimising energy usage. What’s also nice is that the AI inverter compressors on the refrigerators boast noise levels below 35 dB. This ensures that the constant hum from the refrigerator doesn’t turn into an annoyance during the night and guarantees you a good sleep.

The AI trickery doesn’t end there though. The 809-litre Bespoke refrigerator, for example, gets Samsung’s Family Hub Screen which allows you to do everything from browsing the web to watching your favourite sitcoms while cooking.

However, it has another, rather neat trick up its sleeve. Namely, the AI ‘Vision Inside’ feature, which using a camera can identify up to 33 different food and beverage items in your refrigerator, and provide you with several different recipe suggestions using them.

The 650-litre convertible French door AI inverter compressor refrigerators also get integrated Wi-Fi connectivity, through which one can remotely monitor and modify the refrigerators’ settings.
