Redmi Watch 5 Lite is a budget wearable with an 18-day battery life, GPS connectivity and more

Features such as Bluetooth calling and GPS navigation aren’t necessarily restricted to the premium wearable segment anymore, as we’ve seen with several launches from a plethora of brands including boAt, Noise, Fire-boltt, CMF by Nothing, and more.

Well, another such brand on the scene which has proven otherwise happens to be Redmi. Meet the Redmi Watch 5 Lite.

Redmi Watch 5 Lite: Features and key specifications

The Redmi Watch 5 Lite gets a 1.96-inch AMOLED display with a 410×502 pixel resolution and a peak brightness of 600 nits. It also gets an always-on and a raise-to-wake feature.

The smartwatch is powered by Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system, which ensures seamless connectivity with your Xiaomi smartphone – in the form of floating notifications, event reminders, weather updates, task lists synced from your phone, and more.

The Redmi Watch 5 Lite gets over 200 cloud-based watch faces, and Alexa support as well. On offer is also a 5 ATM water resistance rating, which means light splashes of rain or sweat shouldn’t be an issue.

The smartwatch – which gets Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity – supports incoming call notifications, along with the ability to answer and reject calls. For navigation, there’s GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and Galileo connectivity.

Besides these features, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite gets the usual heart rate and blood oxygen level sensors, along with over 160 sports modes, auto-detection for different sports, and more.

Now, coming to the battery on the device, Xiaomi claims that the 470mAh battery on the Redmi Watch 5 Lite lasts for as long as 18 days with typical usage. With features that increase power consumption however, such as the always-on display being tuned on, or frequent Bluetooth calling, it can last for as long as 12 days.

Redmi Watch 5 Lite: Pricing and availability

The Redmi Watch 5 Lite is available in Black and Light Gold colourways, and is currently priced at Rs 3,999. Should you be looking to personalise your watch a little, you can also opt for one of three straps, available in Candy Pink, Mint Green, and Lemon Yellow colours.

Other options you can consider in the price range are the Nothing Watch Pro and the Noise ColorFit Ultra 3.

The Redmi Watch 5 Lite goes on sale on September 26, and can be purchased from Xiaomi’s official website as well as all other partner retail outlets from across India.
