Redmi Watch 5 Active: Key features to look out for

The Redmi Watch 5 Active comes with a 2-inch rectangular screen and a peak brightness of 500nits for outdoor usage. It flaunts a zinc alloy metal body and comes with an IPX8 water resistance certification, which means it can handle the occasional splashes and sweat at the gym. Xiaomi has provided the wearable with a rise to wake and double-tap features, and the display even turns off when the user places their palm on it.

The watch gets over 200 customisable watch faces and over 140 sports modes for those who like to track key metrics while working out. The Redmi Watch 5 Active, which comes running on HyperOS, can be paired with both Android smartphones and iPhones.

The smartwatch boasts built-in Alexa support which can assist the user with various health and fitness data. These include heart rate blood oxygen (SpO2), and stress levels, along with their sleep pattern, as well as menstrual cycles.

The brand mentions users can sync their data with apps such as Strava, Apple Health, or Xiaomi’s Mi Fitness. It also further states how the smartwatch can run for up to 18 days with regular usage and 12 days with intensive usage, owing to its 470mAh battery pack.  

Redmi Watch 5 Active: Price and availability

The Redmi Watch 5 Active is priced at Rs 2,799 and will be available for purchase starting September 3. The smartwatch can be purchased in two colourways including Matte Silver and Midnight Black, and will be available on Xiaomi’s official website or across key retail outlets, including Croma.
