New Realme smartphones teased; here’s what you need to know about the P1 and P1 Pro

Realme is popular for its smartphones that offer quality specs within a reasonable range. Earlier this month, the brand launched the Realme 12x and it was deemed as the most affordable 5G smartphone available in India, so far. If that’s not all, it also made headlines, not too long ago, for unveiling the Realme 12, Realme 12+ and the Realme 12 Pro, Realme 12 Pro+ smartphones. 

However, the brand has teased yet another entrant to its budget lineup of phones , and they are the Realme P1 5G and the Realme P1 Pro 5G.

Realme revealed the ‘P’ within the nomenclature stands for ‘Power’ and the smartphones are rumoured to boast performance-centric features. Apart from the names and colours, the brand has also unveiled the date of launch in India. Here’s everything we know so far about the rumoured features, specifications and the launch date.

Realme P1 5G, Realme P1 Pro 5G: Expected features to look out for

Realme, on its official website, mentions that the Realme P1 Pro 5G will feature a curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate along with 2,000 nits of peak brightness. Apart from this, the smartphone will come with features such as rainwater touch, ProXDR support, as well as TUV certification, that marks quality and sustainability.

Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, and will also incorporate a 3D VC cooling system. Apart from this, the brand mentions how it will come with a battery capacity of 5,000mAh alongside a 45W wired fast charging support.

The Realme P1 5G, on the other hand, is rumoured to have an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will sport a peak brightness level of 2,000 nits like the P1 Pro 5G; however, Realme has equipped it with an additional TUV Rheinland eye-protection certification.

For the performance bit, the brand has equipped the device with a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, and the smartphone will also feature a seven-layer VC cooling system.

Realme P1 5G, Realme P1 Pro 5G: Price and availability

The Realme P series is expected to go live on April 15 with an official launch event. As of today, the brand has not revealed their prices. However, the smartphones are tipped to be priced within an affordable range, between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively.
