Fast charging has become quite common even in affordable mid-range segments today. Most fast-charging smartphones have charging speeds between 50W-80W. However, some phones charge at 100W, 120W or more, making them capable of significantly changing your battery life in a couple of minutes.
But what if we told you Realme’s next phone charges at not 100W, not even 200W, but 300W?

We’re talking about the upcoming Realme GT 7 Pro, a device that is rumoured to debut Realme’s very own 300W fast charging tech. As per a recent leak on Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station has hinted that the Realme may debut the tech on its next GT-series phone, which is the Realme GT 7 Pro.
Realme 300W fast charging: What we know
Realme actually unveiled the fast-charging technology back in 2023. In fact, Realme was not even the only brand to work on 300W charging. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi had also showcased 300W charging on a modified prototype device last year. Both brands, however, have not launched a commercially available phone with the tech yet.
As per the leaks, the tech will be able to charge the phone from zero to 50 per cent in under three minutes, while a full charge will be about five minutes. To compare, 100W charging phones like the OnePlus 12R require a claimed time of 26 minutes for a full charge.
That’s much faster than Realme’s current fastest charging phone – the Realme GT Neo 5 which sports 240W charging and a zero to 100 per cent time of less than 10 minutes.
The Realme GT 7 Pro is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year, which means we still have a few months of waiting before we see the tech in action. Other expected specifications on the GT 7 Pro include the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.
