Realme C67 5G brings its own ‘Dynamic Island’ to the affordable segment

The budget smartphone segment in India has seen several new launches in the past couple of weeks, from several brands, including Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and Redmi. Well, the latest entrant on the scene is realme, with its new C67 5G, which brings the next-gen network along with one of Apple’s best features to affordable Android smartphones. Here’s all you need to know.

Realme C67 5G launched in India

Realme just unveiled its new C67 5G smartphone in India. The device is one of the most affordable phones to feature 5G support. However, the highlight here is what Realme calls the ‘Mini Capsule 2.0’ feature, the brand’s own take on Apple’s Dynamic Island. The feature displays notifications and other alerts around the punch-hole cutout in the front of the phone just like the iPhone 14 Pro series and the iPhone 15 series.

The realme C67 5G is also powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, paired with a Mali G57 MC2 GPU. It is available in two variants – one with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, and the other comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The RAM on the device can be expanded by up to 6GB virtually, while the storage is expandable to as much as 2TB via a microSD card expansion slot.

Under the hood is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Coming to the display, the realme C67 features a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 680 nits. The phone also comes with a thickness of 7.89mm. and sports an IP54 water and dust resistance rating.

Speaking of optics, the realme C67 5G features a dual-camera setup in the rear, housed in a circular island. The primary camera is a 50MP unit, which is coupled with a 2MP portrait lens. On the front, is an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port and Android 13-based realme UI 4.0.

Realme C67 5G pricing and availability

The new realme C67 5G is available in two colourways – Dark Purple and Sunny Oasis. The device is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, while the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 14,999. It goes on sale starting December 16 at realme stores and the realme website, as well as leading e-commerce portals and other partner retail outlets across India.
