Pebble Junior 4G smartwatch launched for kids

For any parent, making sure their child is safe is the most important concern of all. In order to keep in touch with their child at all times, Pebble, a homegrown smartwatch brand, has launched a ‘smartwatch for kids’ called the Pebble Junior 4G smartwatch.

This smartwatch comes with features that will keep parents informed of their child’s activity throughout the day. But if that’s not all, it also comes in eye-catching shades and with other built-in health features as well. Here’s everything you need to know.

The newly launched Pebble Junior 4G smartwatch features a 1.7-inch display with interchangeable straps and dials. Children can also personalise the look and feel of the watch by opting for colours such as Blue and Lavender.

It comes with a 4G SIM slot and a built-in camera that can enable voice and video calls. This allows parents to communicate with their children anytime and anywhere.

The watch comes with a real-time GPS system which allows you to track your child’s location with an accuracy of up to 250 meters. Apart from that, its Geo-Fencing feature can send alerts if the child leaves a predefined safe zone. For added security, the smartwatch is equipped with an SOS Emergency alert button that allows the children to share an instant alert in case they feel in danger or distress.

If the children are allowed to wear the smartwatch to school, they can use Class Mode to minimise distractions during school hours. Parental Control can also be levied to make sure their usage is restricted.

The Pebble Junior 4G smartwatch ships with its very own Pebble OS. It can track activity, heart rate and blood levels of your child which can benefit to monitor their health. It has received an IP67 rating that ensures protection from splashes and spills.

It is powered by a 650mAh battery that can last up to 48 hours. Pebble claims that it can recharge fully in about two and a half hours.
