Oppo Reno 11 launch: Key features worth considering

Oppo’s camera-focused Reno smartphones have been the brand’s best offerings in India for years now. Targeted at users who want a good camera experience without shelling out flagship-grade prices, the Oppo Reno series has always packed some good cameras with generally powerful hardware for a good overall experience. The recently launched Oppo Reno 11 series is no different. Here are five features of the phone that help it stand out amidst competition.

High-res telephoto portrait camera

The Oppo Reno 11 5G and Oppo Reno 11 Pro 5G both feature a 32MP telephoto camera on the back, which is great for portrait photography. If you’re someone who likes taking pictures of your friends and family, the Reno 11 series can effortlessly add some natural portrait, depth on your pictures, making the subject stand out. This is also joined by a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) that can also record 4K video, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP front camera.

Performance

The Oppo Reno 11 series also makes for decently powerful devices for when you’re not taking pictures. The Reno 11 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chip, offering good upper-midrange power for casual gaming, some on-the-go editing and other general use cases.

External memory support

Both the Oppo Reno 11 5G and Reno 11 Pro 5G come with external memory-card support, allowing users to quickly swap out memory cards when they’re running out of storage or need a quick backup on a computer. This is also handy for photographers on the move, who no longer need to rely on network connectivity or be limited by the phone’s internal storage.

Plethora of customisation options

The Oppo Reno 11 series is available with ColorOS 14 out-of-the-box, which means plenty of customisation options for the lock screen, home screen and pretty much everything else across the phone’s UI. ColorOS 14 also brings the perks of Android 14 as well as Aquamorphic Design 2.0, which comes with fluidly themed transitions and AOD (Always-On Display) options.

Speedy charging

The Reno 11 series also packs fast charging, so that users can top their phones up within minutes when running low on battery. While the base Reno 11 comes with 67W fast charging and a 5,000mAh battery, the Reno 11 Pro features 80W charging with a 4,600mAh battery. Both phones can offer all-day battery, and juice up quickly when you need the plug.
