Oppo’s latest earbuds come with some big battery life claims

Oppo Enco X3 earbuds announced with up to 43-hour battery life

Oppo has taken the wraps off a bunch of new products, including smartphones and a tablet. Among them, we also got probably the only product that will make it to the Indian market – the Oppo Enco Buds X3.

The Enco series needs no introduction in India among those who have hunted down quality TWS earbuds and neckbands on a budget. The new addition promises to bring in more features than ever before, along with a promise of some stellar battery life. Here’s everything you need to know about the Enco X3 and the other products.

Oppo Enco X3: What’s new?

The Oppo Enco X3 comes with a slightly changed design, with a textured case now replacing the usual smooth one. However, we still have the pearl-shaped case that opens from the top.

Thea earbuds themselves retain their stem-design and silicone tips, and support capacitive touch controls that power the earbuds’ pinch controls and sliding mechanism for volume adjustment.

The earbuds also come with a dual-driver architecture including 6mm tweeters and 11mm bass drivers alongside dual DAC units, all tuned by Danish speaker-maker Dynaudio. This is clubbed with triple microphones on each earbud, allowing for Active Noise Cancellation or ANC.

The earbuds feature up to 50dB of noise cancellation and this can be adjusted based on the environment you are in. There’s also spatial audio support, which will let you add some directional finesse to your audio experience with supported apps and platforms, just like the AirPods Pro 2.

The earbuds also come with an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, and Oppo claims the buds can play your music for up to 43 hours on a single charge.

This is including case-charging of course, but Oppo suggests the earbuds along can do 10 hours on a single charge. You do have Bluetooth 5.4 and LHDC 5.0 support for connectivity, alongside a low-latency gaming mode.

Pricing and availability

The Oppo Enco X3 is priced at CNY 999 (about Rs 11,800) which makes it a more premium offering than previous entries in the series. Currently available only in China, the Enco X3 may make it to India later this year, or in early 2025. They will also be offered in black and white colours.

Oppo also announced the Oppo Find X8 series during the launch – including the vanilla Find X8 alongside a Find X8 Pro, both of which are powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. Then, there was the new Oppo Pad 3 Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

However, it remains to be seen if these products make it to India later on, since Oppo’s Find series and Pad series have not launched in India in recent years.
