OnePlus Watch 3 with dual chipsets, rotating crown announced

OnePlus has announced the all-new OnePlus Watch 3. The latest Wear OS wearable is a successor to the OnePlus Watch 2 from last year, and it comes with a slightly larger display, a Snapdragon W5 chipset, and a 60-second Health Check-In feature. It also has a rotating crown for scrolling and navigation. Here are its specifications, features, and price.

OnePlus Watch 3 specifications and features

The OnePlus Watch 3 borrows its design from its predecessor, the OnePlus Watch 2. It has a round dial, featuring a stainless-steel case and a titanium alloy bezel. There’s a tapered rotating crown and a physical button for controlling the watch.

The smartwatch boasts a 1.5-inch display, which is a tad bit larger than the 1.43-inch panel on the OnePlus Watch 2. The screen is an LTPO AMOLED panel with 466 x 466 resolution and up to 220 nits of peak brightness.

Powering the smartwatch is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 chipset, paired with another chipset dubbed the BES 2800 for power efficiency. The smartwatch has 32GB of memory, and it boots on Wear OS 5 alongside RTOS.

The smartwatch has all the essential sensors, such as an optical heart rate sensor, pulse oximeter sensor, wrist temperature sensor, geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, barometer, acceleration sensor, and gyroscope sensor.

Thanks to these sensors, the smartwatch is advertised to accurately track your health. This includes heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, and more. There’s also a 60-second Health Check-In feature to give you quick insights about your health. The smartwatch also has 100+ sports modes, including skiing, swimming, running, and others.

The smartwatch has dual-band GPS, including L1 and L5 bands for fast location tracking. The smartwatch is expected to offer up five days of battery life with the Smart Mode. Users can get up to 16 days of battery life with the Power Saver Mode.

The OnePlus Watch 3 has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. There’s also a Bluetooth calling feature, thanks to the in-built microphone and speakers.

OnePlus Watch 3 price and availability

The OnePlus Watch 3 comes in Obsidian Titanium and Emerald Titanium shades. It is priced at $330 (about Rs 28,700). The smartwatch will be available for purchase from next week in the US and Europe. Unfortunately, its India price and availability details are yet to be known.
