Magnetic power banks are in fashion, all thanks to Apple’s MagSafe battery packs. However, the problem with many such magnetic power banks is that they can be a bit bulky. OnePlus’ newest magnetic power bank, however, solves this issue with its sleek and compact design, adding only a little weight to your device.
Let’s see the specifications, features, and price of the new OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank.
What’s special about the OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank?
The OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank is a slim and lightweight power bank, which you’re unlikely to notice when attached magnetically to your phone. The power bank is just 120 grams. For comparison, the average weight of a magnetic power bank is around 200 grams, and it may vary depending on the model.
Apple’s MagSafe power bank weighs 114 grams, which is a tad bit lighter, still it boasts a bulky design and packs only 1,460mAh cell. The magnetic wireless power bank from OnePlus, however, packs a 5,000mAh cell, despite its slim form factor. OnePlus says that the power bank has a thickness of just 0.8mm.
Since it’s a magnetic wireless power bank, it will magnetically attach to the new OnePlus 13 (which is currently only available in China) and other Android smartphones that support magnetic wireless charging.

The power bank also supports iPhones, meaning you can ditch Apple’s MagSafe battery pack that packs less juice and is thicker, for the new OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank.
As for its other features, the power bank also comes with NTC resistors for temperature control, meaning it won’t produce unnecessary heat. Further, the power bank has a power button, an LED indicator on the side, a Type-C port, a and USB Type-A port.
The OnePlus Magnetic Power Bank is priced at CNY 149 (about Rs 1,800), which is cheaper than some of the other magnetic power banks in the market. If you are an iPhone user, you can consider this as it’s less than one fourth the price of Apple’s MagSafe power bank.
