OnePlus Buds 3 TWS earbuds announced with dual-drivers, LHDC 5.0 support

OnePlus recently unveiled the OnePlus 12, and the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro smartphones, with the latter likely to be dubbed OnePlus 12R in India. However, smartphones aren’t the only thing the brand has in its 2024 plans. OnePlus has also unveiled its latest premium TWS earbuds – the OnePlus Buds 3. Here’s everything you need to know about the new earbuds.

OnePlus buds 3 features and key specifications

The OnePlus Buds 3 feature 10.4mm drivers and three microphones, with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) capabilities. Users can also choose between mild, moderate, and depth modes for ANC, each of which cancels out noise of up to 10 dB, 20 dB, and 49 dB. There is also a transparency mode on offer, using which users can clearly listen to the sounds of their surroundings, while on calls or listening to music.

OnePlus’ latest TWS earbuds, the OnePlus Buds 3 feature support for AAB and SBC Bluetooth codecs. They come with LHDC 5.0 Hi-Res audio output, as well as dynamic bass technology, which enables users to enjoy a 3D surround-sound experience. The earbuds also offer 94ms low latency for gaming.

Coming to the battery of the device, each earbud on the OnePlus Buds 3 comes with a 58mAh battery in-built, which can offer up to six-and-a-half hours of playback on a stretch. The charging case itself features a 520mAh battery, with support for USB Type-C charging. The playback time of the earbuds, when coupled with the charging case, can go up to 28 hours at a stretch. However, OnePlus also claims that the same can be taken up to 10 hours without and 44 hours with the charging case with ANC turned off.

OnePlus’ Buds 3 also come with an IP55 water and dust resistance rating, which means they can handle the occasional splashes of light rain or sweat the gym, with ease.

OnePlus Buds 3 pricing and availability

The OnePlus Buds 3 are available in two colours – Clear Sea Blue and Space Grey. They are priced at priced at CNY 499 (approximately Rs 5,900). The TWS earbuds are available for pre-orders in China and will be made available for sale starting January 8.

Launch dates and pricing for the earbuds in other international, markets, including India remain unknown as of now.
