OnePlus is rolling out a new OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus 13R. The latest update brings system improvements and some customisation features. It also includes the March 2025 security patch, enhancing the system’s security.

What’s new in the OxygenOS 15.0.0.701 update?
The latest OxygenOS 15 update’s build number is 15.0.0.701, and it’s rolling out in phases throughout the country. The update doesn’t bring any major features, but makes some tweaks to the UI. It improves the animation for notifications and Quick Settings.
The update enhances the widget design for specific third-party apps to make them look better on the home page. There are a few more home screen updates, like an option to rename an app group by holding its shortcut. Folders on the home screen can now be resized by dragging to 1×2 or 2×1.
Moreover, the dock on the home screen can now display five apps. Users can now also add an option to adjust the size and appearance of 2×2 third-party widgets on the home screen for visual consistency. To do this, users will have to head to Settings > Home screen & Lock screen > Optimise widget appearance.

Apart from this, the update brings the March 2025 Android security patch, which is the latest security patch for Android. Further, the update also improves the process for resetting privacy password. Users will now be prompted to link their privacy password to their account.
Lastly, there are some connectivity improvements. The update improves Wi-Fi network switching and mobile data roaming for a seamless experience. It also fixes the compatibility issues with Bluetooth headphones.
How to update your OnePlus phone
The OxygenOS 15.0.0701 is an OTA update, which means you should receive an update notification. However, if you don’t, you can always update manually, by heading to Settings > About device > Software update.
Do note that this update will be rolled out to a small percentage of uses for now, with a broader rollout in the forthcoming days.
