OnePlus 13R launched in India with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, AI features

OnePlus has officially taken the wraps off the OnePlus 13R. The smartphone comes with an improved design and new hardware over the predecessor. Its highlights include a large AMOLED display, triple-rear cameras, and a Snapdragon 8 series chipset. 

It also comes with a host of AI features, such as AI Notes, AI Reply, Google’s Circle to Search, and more. Let’s look at the phone’s specifications, features, and price.

What’s special about the OnePlus 13R?

The OnePlus 13R features a new design that looks clean and refined. It has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1264 x 2780 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen has Corning Gorilla 7i protection for scratch and drop resistance.

Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The device also has a dedicated cooling system to keep the temperature maintained even during extended hours of gaming.

In terms of camera, the OnePlus 13R is equipped with a triple rear camera system. It’s led by a 50MP Sony LYT-700 main sensor, a 50MP telephoto sensor, and an 8MP ultrawide unit. The main sensor has optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. The telephoto sensor offers 2x optical zoom. 

OnePlus has offered camera modes like Snapshot, which captures photos with two exposures and combines both with AI to deliver a vibrant and high-res image. Rear camera aside, there’s a 16MP sensor on the front for selfies. OnePlus has offered AI features in the gallery app, like AI Unblur and AI Reflection Eraser.

The OnePlus 13R runs on Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 out of the box. OnePlus has promised four years of OS and six years of security updates. As for the battery, the device packs a massive 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. It also has Google’s Circle to Search feature, alongside other AI features like AI Notes and AI Reply. 

OnePlus 13R price and availability

The OnePlus 13R is priced at Rs 42,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant and Rs 49,999 for the 16GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The smartphone will be available for purchase later this month in the online and offline markets.
