If you own the latest OnePlus flagship, it’s good news for you. Your OnePlus 12 is getting OnePlus’ newest custom skin – OxygenOS 15. As you’d expect, it is based on Google’s latest Android 15 OS.
What this means is that you can enjoy both the OxygenOS 15 and Android 15’s newest and best features on your OnePlus 12. Notably, this is a stable update, which means you don’t have to worry about expecting any major bugs in the UI. So, let’s see what the latest update brings and how you can get the update on your OnePlus 12.
What’s special in OxygenOS 15?
OnePlus’ OxygenOS 15 stable update comes only a few days after the company released the open beta update late last month. The stable update brings a host of features to make the overall user experience better. Here’s everything new with Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.
Starting with some cosmetic features, the update brings a customisable lockscreen that lets you change the position of the text and clock. There are new lockscreen styles and animations to explore.
The update also adds iPhone-like live alerts that stay at the top of your screen. So, if you play a song, you can control it directly from the live alert or banner on the top, similar to iPhone’s Dynamic Island.

OnePlus has also updated the quick settings menu in OxygenOS 15, which again looks more like iPhone’s controller centre. Apart from these features and changes, the update also improves the performance of the UI, making it snappier.
While the stable OxygenOS 15 update is here, it unfortunately, doesn’t come with all the AI features OnePlus promised during its announcements. But don’t fret, as OnePlus has confirmed that it will roll out all the AI features like AI Unblur, AI Detail Boost, AI Reply, Intelligent Search, and more by the end of this month.
Now that you know what OxygenOS 15 brings, let’s see how you can install the stable update on your OnePlus 12.
How to install the Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update
As a OnePlus 12 user, you should get an update notification. But you can also update your device manually by heading to Settings and then searching for software update.
The update has the following firmware version for India: CPH2573_15.0.0.206(EX01). Download and install the update and you should have all the aforesaid features.
