OnePlus 12 gets AI features in the latest OxygenOS 15 update

Earlier this month, OnePlus released the Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus 12. However, it lacked the much-promised AI features like AI Retouch, AI writing suite, and more. Now, the smartphone maker has released a new OxygenOS 15 update that includes all these features, giving OnePlus 12 users a taste of all the cool AI tools.

Here are all the AI features for the OnePlus 12

OnePlus’ latest OxygenOS 15.0.0.305 update for the OnePlus 12 brings some cool new AI features. The list includes a major photo editing feature called AI Retouch. Under AI Retouch, users can use the Enhance feature to enhance the clarity of cropped, distant, or low-quality images.

There’s also the Unblur feature that turns your old dull and blurry photos into detailed and sharp images. Another nifty feature for photos is Remove reflections. It allows users to effortlessly remove glass reflections for clearer images through windows.

Besides AI Retouch, the update brings AI Notes, which comprises a suite of AI writing tools to polish and optimise your written content. Moreover, the Format tool under AI Notes organises scattered information into a structured piece, making it more visually appealing and professional at the same time.

Clean up uses AI to remove all the unwanted filler words from voice notes to make the sentences more coherent while retaining the original audio. Apart from these AI features, the update also adds the ability to share live photos with iOS devices nearby. It also updates some of the existing OxygenOS 15 features, as mentioned in the changelog.

To use these AI features on your OnePlus 12, just update your device from Settings > About device > Software update.

Notably, OnePlus recently rolled out the Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus Open, and it also comes with all these AI features. While it’s not confirmed, we may see OnePlus rolling out these AI features to some of its other phones too, like the OnePlus Nord lineup and old OnePlus phones, like the OnePlus 11 and 10 series.
