Older Samsung flagships to get Android 15-based One UI 7 starting April

Samsung has been delaying the release of One UI 7 for a while now, and only the latest Galaxy S25 lineup has it. However, older Samsung flagships were promised to get the update later, and we now finally have a release date.

If you own any Galaxy flagship from the last few years, it’s time for you to rejoice, as your device may get Android 15-based One UI 7 update as early as next month. Read on to see the rollout schedule and all the OneUI 7 details.

One UI 7 rollout schedule for older Samsung flagships

Samsung has confirmed that One UI 7 will roll out starting April 7. Samsung revealed that most recent flagships will get the update, including the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S23 series. Let’s see all the eligible devices for the update.

Galaxy S series

– Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 Series, and Galaxy S21 FE.

Galaxy Z series

– Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Fold 5, Z Fold 4, and Z Fold 3.

– Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Flip 5, Z Flip 4, and Z Flip 3.

Galaxy Tab

– Galaxy Tab S10 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy Tab S8 series, and Galaxy S6 Lite

These are all the eligible Samsung flagships to receive Android 15-based One UI 7. It’s worth noting that this will be the last update for the 2021-released Galaxy S21 series.

Apart from the flagships, Samsung is also expected to roll out One UI 7 to mid-range and budget devices. Although Samsung hasn’t confirmed the eligibility list for these devices, expect recent A and M series phones to be eligible to get One UI 7.

What’s new in One UI 7?

One UI 7 brings several new features, including Now Bar and lock screen customisation. The former allows you to display information like live notification, music, among others on the lock screen.

The update also brings AI Select, Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, and Audio Eraser. Notably, all these features are already available on the latest Galaxy S25 series.
