Nothing’s next mid-range phones are expected to come with a camera system similar to flagship-grade phones. This means, we’ll not only see an ultra-wide sensor but also a dedicated telephoto sensor for zoom and portrait shots.
Now, fresh camera details of the phones have surfaced, revealing the exact sensors. Notably, the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro may feature a 3x telephoto sensor. Here’s everything you need to know.
Nothing Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro expected camera specifications
Nothing, in a cryptic X (formerly Twitter) post, revealed that the upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro will come with three cameras on the rear. This will be a major upgrade over the dual-rear camera system on the predecessors, the Nothing Phone (2a) and the Phone (2a) Plus.
In addition to this, the camera specifications of the phones have been surfaced. The standard Phone (3a) will reportedly have a 2x telephoto camera, whereas the Pro model may feature Sony’s LYT-600 1/1.95” 3x telephoto sensor.
While 2x optical zooming capability is great, the 3x optical zoom on the Pro model will offer an edge, pitting itself close to some of the mid-premium flagship phones. Accompanying the telephoto cameras will be two other sensors, i.e., a main sensor and an ultra-wide sensor. However, the exact sensor details are unknown as of yet.

Apart from this, the Phone (3a) duo is expected to feature a dedicated camera button similar to the iPhone 16 series. The camera button will allow users to quickly open the camera app for clicking pictures or recording videos.
That’s all we know about the cameras of the Nothing Phone (3a) series. Both phones are expected to have a large AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support, a Snapdragon 7 series chipset, and an updated Glyph interface. The duo will likely boot on Android 15 OS out of the box and with Nothing OS 3 on top.

The Phone (3a) series is scheduled to launch on March 4 at 3:30 PM IST. Both the phones in the series are expected to ship by the end of next month. The series is expected to be priced starting at around Rs 30,000 in India. For more details, make sure you’re subscribed to Unboxed by Croma.
