The Nothing Phone (2a) is quickly shaping up to be one of the most awaited smartphones of the year. Now, just days away from a launch, new leaked renders for the Nothing Phone (2a) which pretty much look official, cement the design leaks we’ve been seeing so far. They also reveal a new black variant we haven’t seen yet.
The new black variant, as per these renders, looks pretty much like the white renders, but comes off as a stealthier, cyberpunk-esque device. It also gives us a better look at the three Glyph light panels we will see on the phone, which weren’t clearly visible on renders of the white variant.
Nothing Phone (2a): What to expect
The Nothing Phone (2a) will also come with what looks like a significant camera bump on the back of the phone, if the new leaks are to be believed. Thankfully, the camera island is a centre-aligned one this time, so we may not see the phone wobble too much when on a flat desk.
The new leaks by leakster Greg2024 via GSMArena also show us a look at other signature Nothing elements incorporated in the phone. These include the transparent back panel, small symmetrical bezels, and a glass sandwich design all seem to be still in place, just like the Nothing Phone (2) and the Phone (1).
You can also see on the black variant that the Phone (2a) houses a new redesigned Glyph lights panel, now with three lights. It currently isn’t clear if these will allow for the same functionality as the Phone (2) including real-time progress bars for apps like Zomato, but we do know that users will have the lights for things like call and message notifications.
Nothing has also already confirmed in a recent video that the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro chip, which should give it plenty of firepower for a mid-range device.
