Nothing rolled out the Nothing OS 3.0 beta update to its devices starting in October. The Nothing Phone (2a) was the first to receive the beta update, followed by the Nothing Phone (2) in November. Now, both devices are getting the stable update, which is based on Android 15, and consists of several new features.
Nothing OS 3.0 brings features like more customisation options, new widgets, an AI-powered app categorisation feature, and more. Here’s everything new with the update and how you can install it right away.
What’s special with Nothing OS 3.0?
Starting with the visual changes, the Android 15-based Nothing OS 3.0 update introduces a redesigned lock screen, which Nothing says is fully customisable. Users can change the clock typefaces, widgets, and more, giving their devices a more personalised look.

The quick settings panel has been redesigned and a new enhanced pop-up view has been introduced to make multitasking easier and better. Further, the update adds a new countdown timer widget and introduces a Shared Widgets feature that allows users to share widgets with their friends and family.
The update also adds an AI-powered auto-sort feature that automatically categorises apps into folders. There’s also a new gallery app that organises your photos better. The gallery app also comes with more editing tools like markup, filters, and more. According to Nothing, the new gallery app is 1.4 seconds faster at opening photos taken from the phone’s camera.
These are all the major features you get in the latest Nothing OS 3.0 update. Now, let’s see how you can install the update.
How to install Nothing OS 3.0 on Phone (2), Phone (2a)
