MWC 2025: Tecno Spark Slim is one of the world’s thinnest smartphones

MWC 2025 is in full swing, and the tech world has its eyes set on Barcelona, where AI, automation, and gadgets of the future are stealing the show.

But while Samsung hypes up its thinnest-ever Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple reportedly working on something similar, Tecno has swooped in with a jaw-dropping reveal of the Tecno Slim Spark. At just 5.75mm thin (which is approximately half a pencil) and weighing a featherlight 146 grams, this phone is certainly defying expectations and grabbing eyeballs at the expo.

But if that’s not nearly enough, Tecno has also, somehow, managed to squeeze a 5,200mAh battery into this ultra-slim form factor. If you’re feeling the curiosity take over you, read on to know everything about it:

Tecno Slim Spark: Key features to look out for

The highlight of the Tecno Slim Spark is undoubtedly its form factor, but apart from this, the smartphone also gets a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. For smooth visuals, the device comes with a 144Hz refresh rate. Tecno doesn’t reveal much about what’s under the hood and only goes on to mention that it uses an octa-core platform.

Tecno Slim Spark appears to have a stainless steel panel with curved edges, and it also has a dual-camera setup on a circular island at the back. Bear in mind that the slight camera bump is not accounted for in the phone’s ultra-thinness! The dual 50MP sensors are situated in a horizontal bar and come accompanied by an LED ring light within each module.

And lastly, despite its slim profile, Tecno has managed to pack a large 5,200mAh battery into the device which can be powered up using the device’s USB-C charging port.

When will the Tecno Slim Spark be available for everyone?

The smartphone is currently only a concept and there’s no clarity on if it will make its way into the global markets. While it does make a remarkable one, it is not yet clear if the company plans to expand it into production.
