Motorola has launched a mid-range smartphone, called Motorola Edge 50 Neo in India. It expands the flagship Edge 50 series with a fifth model in the line-up after Moto Edge 50, Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion, and Edge 50 Ultra.
The smartphone comes with a host of interesting features, including a telephoto lens, MIL-STD-810 Military Grade certification, and Moto AI – the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) suite. Read on to find out more about this new device.
Motorola Edge 50 Neo key specs and features
Motorola Edge 50 Neo showcases a refined look courtesy of its vegan leather body. It is marketed as India’s lightest smartphone with a MIL-810H-certified handset. This certification means that it has passed through rigorous military testing to be able to withstand accidental drops, extreme temperatures, vibrations and shocks.
Adding to its survival capabilities is an IP68 rating, which provides resistance against dust, splash, and water ingress. Protecting the screen is also a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.4-inch 10-bit flat LTPO pOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and 3,000nits of peak brightness. It can switch refresh rate between 10Hz to 120Hz, depending on the content being viewed. For media consumption, the smartphone also possesses dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos audio quality.

The Moto Edge 50 Neo is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB as storage capacity. It comes with a RAM Boost feature as well which provides an additional virtual 8GB of RAM which can be optimised by AI. It runs on Android 14 with guaranteed five years of OS and security updates.
Coming to the cameras, the Moto Edge 50 Neo has a triple camera setup comprising of 50MP Sony LYTIA-700C camera with optical image stabilisation, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The front camera is 32MP camera which is more than adequate for selfies and video functionalities. The smartphone is compatible with Moto AI which means camera centric features are also adaptive.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6E and 5G across 16 bands in India. It is backed by a 4310mAh battery with a 68W TurboPower (wired) and 15W (wireless) charging support.
Motorola Edge 50 Neo: Price and availability
The new Moto Edge 50 Neo is priced in India at Rs 23,999 and will be available in four Pantone-certified colours namely Nautical Blue, Poinciana, Latte and Grisaille. The device goes on sale from September 24 via select stores and e-commerce website.
