Artificial intelligence is taking centre stage for a lot of brands this year, and LG, too, has recently introduced its range of smart, AI-powered televisions in India. And if that’s not enough, the South Korean brand even set a record for unveiling the world’s largest AI-driven OLED TV with a whopping 97-inch display.
The new TVs are a part of its 2024 lineup which includes the LG OLED evo AI and LG QNED AI range of TVs, with sizes beginning from 43 to all the way up to 97 inches. Here’s everything you need to know about LG’s latest lineup.
LG OLED evo AI, LG QNED AI TVs: Key features to look out for
Apart from AI technology, LG has equipped both its QNED and OLED televisions with improved picture and audio quality that offers a virtual 11.1.2 surround sound.
LG OLED evo comes with Dolby Vision gaming 4K and a refresh rate of 144Hz, which is cut out especially for users with gaming needs. The brand mentions how the range is NVIDIA G-SYNC certified and is also compatible with AMD FreeSync for a true-to-life gaming experience. LG has also equipped the LG OLED evo series with a Game Optimiser that will allow gamers to switch between display presets for gaming genres.
LG QNED AI TV, on the other hand, comes with next-generation LCD technology to help deliver ‘bright and vibrant’ visuals on screen. In addition to that it puts to use a Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology for a much sharper contrast. This time around, LG has also included its LG QNED Mini LED AI TV, which is 1/40th the size of regular LEDs and features Million Grey Scale that differentiates between various shades of grey. It comes with a virtual 9.1.2 surround sound that will replicate a ‘dome-like’ immersive experience for a user.
Apart from this, LG has ensured up to five years of software support for webOS Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision for its range of televisions.
LG AI-powered TVs 2024: What's different?
LG has equipped its new range of smart TVs with AI upscaling capabilities that can help enrich and sharpen the subjects on screen. According to the brand, it also conducts a unique pixel-level image analysis for improved picture quality and a vibrant viewing experience. Additionally, it provides real-time upscaling even while streaming sub-4K OTT content and refines the colour tone based on the original vision of the direction.

The company has also incorporated AI Sound Pro, which separates vocals from the background noise effectively. This is especially helpful for the time you want to focus only on the dialogue during a noisy scene.
LG OLED evo AI, LG QNED AI TVs: Price and availability
The new AI-powered televisions by LGs will be available across major retail stores. The new range begins from Rs 62,990 for the 43-inch QNED82T model, and the 65-inch LG QNED90T (Mini LED) costs Rs 1,89,990.
The OLED model with a 42-inch screen costs Rs 1,19,990, while the LG OLED evo G4 AI, the 55-inch model, is priced at Rs 2,39,990. Lastly, the flagship 97-inch LG OLED97G4 costs Rs 20,49,990.
Some options within this price range include the Sony X75L 65-inch 4K Ultra HD LED Google TV and the Samsung Series 9 98-inch QLED 4K Ultra HD Tizen TV.
