iQOO Z9x 5G launched in India with 6,000mAh battery, IP64 rating and more

The budget smartphone segment has seen quite a bit of action lately, with launches from several brands including Realme, Oppo, Vivo, and Redmi. Well, there’s yet another entrant on the scene, looking to grab a share of the market.

Namely, iQOO, which has just launched the iQOO Z9x 5G smartphone in India today. Read on to know more.

iQOO Z9x 5G: Features and key specifications

The iQOO Z9x 5G is powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, with a 2.2 GHz clock speed. The phone is available in 4, 6, and 8GB RAM variants, all with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Under the hood of the device is a large 6,000mAh battery which also gets 44W FlashCharge support. iQOO claims this provides the phone with up to 50 per cent juice in 37 minutes.

The iQOO Z9x 5G gets a 6.72-inch LCD display with a full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits of peak brightness. For audio, there are also dual stereo speakers. What’s cool is, besides being as thin as only 7.9mm, the phone also gets a segment-first IP64 water and dust resistance rating, meaning it should handle the occasional spills and splashes with ease.

Coming to optics, the latest budget Android smartphones from iQOO gets a 50MP primary sensor at the rear, paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G, and LTE support, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack for those who like to listen to their tunes the old-school way, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. For security, there is also a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side.

iQOO Z9x 5G: Pricing and availability

The iQOO Z9x 5G is available in Tornado Green and Storm Grey colourways. It is priced at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, whereas the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants are priced at Rs 14,499 and Rs 15,999 respectively. It can be purchased from iQOO’s website as well as all other major e-commerce portals and partner retail outlets across India.
