It’s been three years since Twitter was acquired by Elon Musk for a whopping $44 billion (about Rs 3.75 lakh crore). Since then, the erstwhile Twitter has been rebranded to X, much to the chagrin of many ardent users.
The iconic Twitter logo which was in the shape of a blue bird – fondly named Larry – once graced the facade of the company’s former headquarters in San Francisco, but post the takeover, it was taken down. The company was rebranded to X, so naturally, the logo changed too.

Now, reports indicate that Twitter’s massive blue bird logo has been auctioned off for a whopping $34,375 (about Rs 30 lakh).

Boston-based auction house, RR Auction, was behind this sale. It deals in “rare and collectible items” and the 254 kg Twitter blue bird logo that once hung proudly outside the company’s former headquarters certainly qualifies as a collectible item.

The logo measured 12 feet by 9 feet and was sold for a whopping $34,375, which equates to about 30 lakh rupees. However, the buyer remains unknown.
Musk has auctioned off other Twitter-related items before
Not just the gigantic logo, Elon Musk has auctioned other items from the former Twitter office including signs, memorabilia, office furniture, kitchen appliances, and much more.
He acquired X (formerly Twitter) on October 27, 2022 at a mind-boggling cost of $44 billion. Since the acquisition, he has introduced the Blue verification subscription services, among other changes to the platform.
