HP’s new Victus Special Edition laptops introduced in India for gamers, students on a budget

HP’s Victus series of laptops is one of the brand’s most value-for-money offerings and has been known to bring some pretty powerful specs to those looking for a device for gaming, video editing, and general multitasking on a budget.

Well, HP has now decided to further expand the lineup, and has introduced new ‘student-centric’ Victus Special Edition offerings in India. Here’s all you need to know about them.

HP Victus Special Edition laptops: Features and key specifications

HP’s new Victus Special Edition laptops come powered by 12th-gen Intel Core processors, and a more affordable version of the RTX 3050 GPU called the RTX 3050 A. The 4GB GPU offers performance nearly as smooth as the more premium RTX 3050 while being more energy efficient, making it perfect for students – whether juggling assignments, exams, and online lectures, or on a marathon Fortnite session with their classmates.

Additionally, the laptops also pack up to 16GB of RAM, and a 70Whr battery backup, allowing for smooth, all-day use without breaking a sweat. What’s cool is, that the laptops also come armed with HP’s OMEN Tempest Cooling Solution, which ensures that they never heat up under heavy workloads, or due to usage for extended time periods.

The display on the new laptops is a 15.6-inch unit with a full-HD resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a low response time of 7ms. The new HP Victus Special Edition laptops are relatively lightweight at about 2.29 KGs, and also come with a full-size backlit keyboard, allowing for greater ease of use.

That’s not all. Along with the latest in its lineup of budget gaming laptops, the brand is also offering students free access to its Gaming Garage, a professional certificate program in e-sports management and game development.

HP’s new Victus Special Edition laptops are available in a single Atmospheric Blue colour option and start at Rs 65,999, depending upon the storage variant you pick. They are available to purchase from HP World Stores, HP Online store, as well as other partner retail outlets across the country.
